Is Opinion Outpost a Scam?

Opinion Outpost was acquired by Survey Sampling International, a world renounced market research Company with an A + BBB rating (the highest rating available from the Better Business Bureau), as well as a quality track record.   SSI also operates SurveySpot, another popular survey site that you may be familiar with.

Sadly Opinion Outpost does not give any points for filling out your profile, or completing polls on the site, unlike many others such as Vindale.  However you should not disregard it for this reason.

Although the site does not have many special opportunities such as focus groups or product testing, the surveys that they do offer are of a very high quality and pay out well too…

Small Differences Make Opinion Outpost Better Than Others

One of the nice differences with Opinion Outpost is that some of their surveys automatically move to the next page when you give the last result, it’s a small addition but makes the whole process a little less tedious!

On GetPaidSurveys users rated it 4.5 out of 5 stars on average, and on SurveyPolice over 700 members have rated it 4 out of 5 stars.

The general consensus is that the surveys are very frequent and the payment process is highly rated, with plenty of options available and very fast payouts.

Many people claim that they do not qualify for about half of the surveys that they are invited to with Opinion Outpost, to be honest this isn’t much different to any other survey site and isn’t something that should go against it.   What it seems is that patience is key with Opinion Outpost, from the general feedback you know that they deliver, and you can rely on them, you just have to stick at it!   Besides, the minimum payout is only $5 so it’s pretty easy to reach.

Getting Started with Opinion Outpost

When you first join Opinion Outpost you are given two options to register: Facebook Connect, or by entering your details in the registration form.

The registration process is super quick! Taking literally 2 clicks with FB connect and you’re in.  Fortunately connecting with Facebook doesn’t give them access to post to your page and so on either.. Which Is always appreciated by me, it’s simply a quick way to log in and register and I like that..

Straight from the off you are offered survey invitations.   You will be rewarded with quarterly sweepstakes entries if you are unsuccessful, (with prizes as large as $10,000!).

It is not however immediately clear that there are other profile questions to the ones you are initially asked.  This isn’t a real issue, you just need to know where to find them, as there doesn’t seem to be any form of notification to tell you to complete them.

There are 12 profile surveys in total, each taking between 30 seconds to 4 minutes.  Sadly you won’t receive anything for completing these, however regular survey takers will understand the importance of a fully completed profile.

After completing the survey questions there is not much more to do, just wait for the surveys to roll in, (you should have no issue reaching the $10 minimum withdrawal amount).

You might be thinking why would you use Opinion Outpost if they don’t reward you for smaller tasks, but they have some of the highest paying surveys available, with some paying up to $20.

The site features a new modern design, with its focus on being really easy to navigate, and super easy to see how many points you have racked up.

Should You Join Opinion Outpost?

So taking everything into consideration, should you join Opinion Outpost?  Definitely!  You may not find higher paying focus groups or product tests, but that’s no problem.  The surveys are good quality, consistent and pay well.

Some people may find the surveys a little mundane; the topics are not always that exciting, if you can see past that though, there is good money to be earned.   For most survey takers this is not an issue, as you’re more than likely just looking to earn extra money.

The site is to the point and not too complicated, you could say that it is very good at what it does, and doesn’t try to offer more than it is capable..

Like any survey site you can find negative reviews about Opinion Outpost, but with average reviews of 4-4.5 stars it’s really something you should decide for yourself, and I can quite safely tell you that you won’t lose out if you do.
