LegerWeb Review – High Growing Panel of Scam?

EPF May 11, 2018

We are a consumerist society ‒ everybody wants to make some extra money so that we can spend it on whatever we want or need. However, it is in human nature to want to invest as little time and effort as possible in earning money. How many of us wouldn’t have a job if we didn’t have to?

Therefore, paid surveys are the ideal way to make some extra bucks since all you have to do is sit in front of your computer and answer questions by simply clicking and typing in the comfort of your home.

Be that as it may, in order to be efficient with paid surveys, first you need to know at least the basics about this industry and also about the specific panels that you want to register with.

For this reason, we regularly post reviews of various survey panels ‒ to inform you and help you make the right decision.

In this article, we are going to review LegerWeb. Read on to find out if you should give a chance to this survey panel.

What Is LegerWeb?

LegerWeb is the largest Canadian web panel with over 400,000 members in Canada alone. It was founded in 2004 and has a long history of successful operation and confirmed payment to their customers.

Each year, this panel conducts around 500 online surveys. Even though it is focused on people living in Canada, you might be able to take their surveys if you live in the US, Brazil, Spain, France, Germany, Italy, China, India, Japan or Korea. Moreover, if you are a French-speaking Canadian resident, you can take the surveys they offer in French.

How It Works?

If you are a resident of the previously mentioned countries and have reached the legal age of majority, you can try to register with this panel. However, the panel focuses on Canada and the US.

It is rather simple to register with LegerWeb. Similar to other survey panels, you have to enter personal information such as your full name, date of birth, email address, gender and province/state.

Once you complete the registration process, you will be taken to the dashboard area. Before you receive any survey invitations, you need to fill out 7 profile surveys. Again, most panels require you to do the same thing in order to find the best surveys for you and minimize the risk of you getting disqualified.

These initial surveys take less than 30 minutes to complete in total. However, some of the questions might be too personal. Still, if you are an experienced panelist, you know this is not something out of the ordinary. On the bright side, for each of these surveys, you will receive $0.50 and 5 entries into the monthly draw.

There are a few different ways to earn money and rewards with LegerWeb:

  • Survey offers

This is the core activity offered on this panel and there is nothing unusual about it. You receive an invitation to fill out a survey, you answer questions and you get money.

Surveys are usually rewarded with $1 and they are easy and quick to complete (8-10 minutes). From time to time, there are also some longer and more demanding surveys to take which can make you more money ($3 or more). On average, you can expect 1 to 2 survey invitations a month.

As a member of LegerWeb, you have to complete a minimum of 3 surveys per year.

  • Prize draws

Each month, you have a chance to win one of two $1,000 jackpots, a $100 prize, 1,000 air miles or an iPad.

By participating in surveys during a specified time period, you accumulate contest entries and improve your chances of winning one of these monthly prizes.

  • Refer your friends

When you invite a person to join the panel, you will get $1. This money will be available in your account once the person has subscribed to the panel and answered at least one survey.

To invite someone to register, log in to your account and click on ‘Invite a Friend’ in the top menu. Then enter your friend’s email address and an invitation email will be sent to them. As soon as they complete their first survey, your account will be credited with $1 or 2 air miles, as well as 1 additional chance for a monthly contest.

To see all of your invitations, click on ‘Invitation History’.

LegerWeb also has a mobile app which allows you to complete surveys on the go. The app is available for iOS and Android devices. However, some people have been dissatisfied with it and given it a low rating, so we recommend that you stick to your computer when accessing your LegerWeb profile.

How to Get Paid?

To cash out, you need to reach a $20 threshold, which is rather high considering that some panels give you this option with only $5 in your account.

The money that you earn on this panel has to be redeemed online. To redeem your money, go to the website and click on ‘Cash Out’.

You can exchange your points for a check of $20 or air miles. You can also redeem them as a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or Sun Youth. A check will be sent to you within 6 to 8 weeks from payment request. All your earned dollars must be redeemed within 2 years or else they will become void.

Is It Legit?

Yes, LegerWeb is completely legit.

Considering that this panel has paid around $17 million so far and existed for almost 15 years, you can rest assured that it is completely legitimate.

Moreover, according to the reviews of most panelists, this panel is not a scam.

Pros and Cons

Here is a list of pros and cons of LegerWeb.

Pros

  • Surveys are short, usually under 10 minutes. Since many survey panels give long surveys, this can be considered as an advantage.
  • Some surveys pay up to $3, which is more than good money for 10 or 15 minutes of work.
  • You get $1 for each friend you refer. If you know a lot of people who can benefit from online surveys, you can earn decent money this way.
  • You can download the LegerWeb app if you want to try completing surveys while on the go.
  • Monthly contest is definitely the best side of LegerWeb, giving you a chance to win $1,000, $100, 1,000 air miles or an iPad.

Cons

  • The cash-out limit is rather high ‒ $20. And since surveys are usually paid $1, it may take a while to reach this threshold.
  • There is a limited number of surveys available. You can hope to get around 2 survey invitations a month.
  • There is no PayPal payment option, so this might be disappointing if you prefer to receive your money this way.
  • You may have to wait some time before you actually receive your payment check (6 to 8 weeks).
  • Payment is low, only $1 per survey.
  • LegerWeb is available only to the residents of the US and Canada. However, this was expected since the market research industry is mainly focused on the North American continent.

Conclusion

We hope we have cleared your doubts about LegerWeb, if you had any.

As you can see, this is definitely a legitimate survey panel which offers a few opportunities to earn money if you have time to spare. However, don’t expect to earn a lot since the withdraw limit is high taking into account the amount of money you can earn per single survey.

This, as any other survey panel, can work for you only as a way to earn some extra money on the side. Moreover, we highly recommend that you do not treat online surveys as a full-time job. They are only there to help you make some extra bucks form the comfort of your home.
